The Rowenta VU5551 is the best quiet pedestal fan out there. It produces better air flow than its competitors, and it is built with durable high quality plastics. The head has a wide range of tilt and oscillation to keep air moving in an entire room, and it also has a handle to make moving the fan easier. This fan comes with a remote control and a timer, providing a great deal of flexibility as to how and when the fan is run. However, most importantly, like other Rowenta fans the VU5551 is extremely quiet, beating all of its leading competitors in terms of noise level. In fact, this fan’s noise level was found to be under 57 decibels, which is less than the noise level normally found in a library. It is easily quiet enough for someone to watch television, listen to music, or sleep with the fan on. This fan is more expensive than other fans on this list, but the higher price is worth it for anyone who wants a powerful, high quality fan that is truly quiet.
